Abide Women's Ministry is having a summer bible study! We are studying A Modern Girl's Guide to Bible Study by Jen Hatmaker. This will be on Thursday nights at 6:00pm. There will be no childcare, but we will still be on Facebook Live through the Abide Facebook Group! Hey Everybody! We are having a Servant Leader (Volunteer) Appreciation and Church Celebration on May 29th 6-8pm at the Abilene Zoo. Free entry, free train rides, free giraffe feedings and zoo fun! We have amazing servant leaders here at AUMC and I want to say thank you for the work you do in the life of our church! It's also a church celebration so let others know they are invited to come and celebrate as well! The more the merrier! There will be no meal provide... so eat before or after. We love Bowie Elementary! And we love our partnership with them! It was a blast getting to feed them this beautiful food today from Sydney Dillard. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week. Aldersgate appreciates you!

Aldersgate will be helping Bowie Elementary celebrate the end of the school year again by volunteering at the End of Year Festival! If you would like to serve at this event on May 16 at 5:30pm, email [email protected] for details!

Yesterday we celebrated our 10th Aldersgate Alive! Everyone worshiped together. Everyone ate together. And everyone made care kits together. What a joy it was to see people of all ages come together as one community for a bigger purpose. Thank you to everyone who cooked food, carried chairs and tables, made care kits, delivered and prayed over care kits, and all the rest of the work that went into yesterday. We especially want to thank you for coming to worship, eat, and laugh with our community as we pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones and rejoiced that Aldersgate is Alive!

Today is the day for Aldersgate Alive! The meat is on the grill! Worship will begin at 11, and lunch and the service project (making care kits for people who are experiencing homelessness) will begin right after worship!
